Untold Tales
"During the first half of the race, we felt slightly dispirited that other teams seemed to have seen much more wildlife than we had That was until New Year's Eve when we were visited by an Atlantic Marlin approximately 4m long in full predatory mode hunting the yellow fin tuna fish that were sheltering under the rudder of our boat! The Marlin accidentally speared the hull of our boat creating 3 holes that water immediately gushed through, filling our hatches.
The next few hours were spent on and below the boat trying to mend the holes and reduce the amount of water our boat was taking on. We did a good enough job patching the holes to continue with the race towards our finishing line in Antigua. We celebrated our DIY and welcomed in the New Year looking at the stars whilst sharing a bottle of champagne and a bar of Tony's Chocolony."
“The events showcase a carefully curated group of like minded people. I find myself not wanting to leave at the end of the night.”

"It's an irritating reality that many places and events defy description. In the end, you're just happy you were there - with your eyes open and lived to see it."~ Anthony Bourdain
A Vision Rooted In Genuine Connection
“We seem to live in a world now where it's acceptable to let people down. People seem to live behind the performance. They cling to an illusion of themselves, afraid that if they ever drop it, the world will see how fragile they really are.
I find the best people are those that have been broken and kept going. They've dropped the illusion of invincibility. They've had to reach out, and ask for help. Out of that comes humility. A quieter understanding.
I have absolutely loved building this incredible community. Such a wonderfully interesting group of humble people, I'm not sure there are many rooms you can step into quite like these.”
Untold Tales
“My grandmother was a well known sculptor. Her bronze sculpture of Chandragupta, founder of the Indian state, was commissioned by Gandhi and still stands in the centre of the Delhi parliament complex. Life around her was not without its exotic interludes -she invited me, as a four year old, to tea with Emperor Haile Selasse who happened to be staying with her at the time.
I was enough of a swot to get a scholarship to Balliol, Oxford where I had the first inklings, soon suppressed, that art might have some commercíal potential. I negotiated with our landlord to pay some of the rent in the form of rather racy drawings. He was a senior cleric and advisor to the Archbishop of Canterbury.”
“What works exceptionally well is the sense of exclusivity, matched by the calibre of talent consistently brought together.”
